Hi,

I installed ssh server( OpenSSH_3.8.1p1)in windows XP Servicepack 2.

After installation i run the following commands from command prompt

mkgroup -l >> ..\etc\group
mkpasswd -l >> ..\etc\passwd

In sshd_config file modifications made were
#RSAAuthentication yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
AuthorizedKeysFile .ssh/authorized_keys

I installed ssh client in windows XP servicepack 2(another machine)
when i tried to connect ssh using public key authentication it gives
error as follows

I am getting error as "bad ownership or modes for directory"

When i change the directory permission by right click and uncheck the
read only property. It is always showing read only property. How to set
permission for directory in "Documents and Settings" for windows.

Mani
