Thread: connect to ssh tunnel

  1. connect to ssh tunnel

    Hi all,

Is the socket connect forwarded to the remote end of the tunnel?
    E.g: machine A tunnels localport 100 to remote machine B port 200.

Will on machine A, a local socket "connect" to port 100 succeed when
    there is no
listener on machine B on port 200, or is the connect forwarded as well?

    Thanks for all replies.

The connect will succeed, then that connection will be immediately closed
when the remote reports to the client that the subsequent connect on the
    other side failed.
