  1. I could not get spamd worked with option -c

    I use spamassassin3.2.5, vpopmail, on qmail.

    I run spamd as following;

    root 7165 0.0 1.6 92168 67936 ?? Ss 8:37PM 0:01.88 /usr/local/bin/spamd -d -L -m 10 -s /var/log/spamd.log -c -v -u vpopmail -g vchkpw -r /var/run/spamd/spamd.pid

    But when any email comes to my mail server I get an error in spamd.log.

    There is a user_prefs file in /var/qmail/vpopmail

    ls -l /var/qmail/vpopmail/.spamassassin/

    You need to figure out why spamd cannot create this file and fix it.

    That is NOT where SA is looking for the user_prefs file; look at the logs you
    pasted above.

    "spamd" is expercting the "user_prefs" at

    /var/qmail/vpopmail/domains/test.com/user1/.spamassassin/user_prefs

    and not at

    /var/qmail/vpopmail/user_prefs

    your script, which try to create the directory

    /var/qmail/vpopmail/domains/test.com/user1/.spamassassin

    is missing the "-p" option for mkdir
