They were VERY useful at one time a few years ago when they were written,
when spam was heavily obfuscated like this to try to avoid the simple spam
filters that were common at the time.

Over time spam changed and became largely human-readable, and the rules got
to the point that they hit almost nothing, and could cause FPs now and then
on some kinds of legit mail; so most people stopped using chickenpox,
backhair, and similar rules.

It looks like the stock spammers ahve gone back to this form of encoding, so
it is time to dust these rules off again!
