  1. MD5 mismatch on x86 b85 image

    Hi Guys,

I downloaded the b85 ISO from opensolaris.org but notice the MD5 does
not match the one given in the text file.

According to the md5 on the website:

    14beb84384f54c2c6e7ebb4e192f76f3 sol-nv-b85-x86-dvd.iso

    Actual:

    [alex@desktop /usr/home/alex/Desktop]$ md5 sol-nv-b85-x86-dvd.iso
    MD5 (sol-nv-b85-x86-dvd.iso) = d34d01ece7fb7d7f79da346ab0dfbb4d

As my ISP counts data and I dont have enough quota for the month to
download nearly 4GB and test again, can someone who's downloaded this
file check the MD5 and tell me what they get? Perhaps Sun altered the
ISO at the last minute and didnt update the MD5 figures.

    Thanks

    You have a damaged download.

    Or a funny md5. I checked using md5sum on a S10u4 system.

Ok, well it must indeed be a corrupt download. damn. I checked the md5
    on a freebsd system.

Thanks for testing and replying guys, much appreciated.

You'll have to redownload. Looking on the plus side the month is nearly
over so your ISP's counters will soon go back to zero :-)

    Cheers,

    Chris
