Have you run memtest86 from the Ultimate Boot CD or another memory
    tester?

I have memtest86 running. It has done about 18 passes and found no errors
so far. Maybe I will try ultimatebootcd.

You want to leave memtest86 running all night.

Interesting article. It just so happens that I live at around 6000 feet in
Colorado. The memory used by the vendor is "Generic". I can get a 1 gig
memory kit from Kingston for about $95. I may just do that and toss the
    "Generic" stuff.

Thanks, I understand now. It might also be a more general heat issue
    inside the case.
