ASCII data returned via SNMP
I would like to add an object to my mib that will return
ASCII data in the lenght of SPRINT_MAX_LEN. I assume that
that is the maximum amount of data that can be in
The data will come from a console buffer fifo. This fifo
is a circular buffer that stores the output of server and device
serial consoles. What I do in the agent is as follows:
1) Dump fifo to temp
2) Grab the last SPRINT_MAX_LEN chars.
3) Delete temp file
4) Send back the data.
Since I have no control as to what may be in this
data like CRs, LFs, and FFs. Should I do any pre-preprocessing
on that data before sending back?
