  1. Net-SNMP 5.4.2.rc1 available

Net-SNMP 5.4.2.rc1 is now available for testing.
This contains a significant number of bug fixes
over the 5.4.1 release. We would encourage as
many of you as possibly to download this code,
try this in your own environments, and let us know
    of any problems.

The NEWS snippit for this release is as follows:
    snmplib:
    - [PATCH 1921861]: Avoid endless loop after truncating 64bit int
    - Better handling of CONTAINER_INSERT failures with multiple indices

    snmpd:
    - suppress annoying "registration != duplicate" warning for root oids

    build:
    - Update to libtool 1.5.26

    AIX:
    - Add support for AIX 6.x.

See the notes associated with the 5.4.2.pre-release for
a fuller list of the significant changes included in this release.

I know this might be too late for inclusion, but please consider adding
the following two trivial patches I created a couple of weeks ago,
    namely:

    * #202294: Fix agentx protocol decoding of counter64 on 64 bits arch
    http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index...94&atid=312694

    * #2022948: Revised fix for Counter64 in perl subagent
    http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index...94&atid=312694

For a thorough explanation of the issue, please see:
    http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.networ...nmp.user/25072

The first one is important, because AgentX protocol is broken right now
on 64 bits arch. The second one is a general fix for an older patch
    which was never included.

    Many thanks,
