Ok,

I posted this a while ago and didn't get a response. I have
additional issues with mibs with this, which is frustrating. Is there
some easy way to get mibs in and recognized/used with net-snmp? none of
the compiler scripts work as in the documents, due to system
configurations on my part, that I don't have the luxury of fixing.

I am trying to do a data pull from a squid proxy, and am getting errors
(along with 3ware snmp data/oid problems, merak mail snmp mib problems,
etc) as I show below:

Thu Mar 13-11:41:19-root@Haruhi.tsukinokage.net:resource> snmpwalk -v 2c
-c communityname yuki .1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.3.2.1.5
Cannot find module (merak-mib): At line 0 in (none)
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.3495.1.3.2.1.5 = No Such Object available on
this agent at this OID

the first error line is my fault (mib variable in the snmp.conf file,
that it is complaining about, and have no clue what module it is looking
for, or where to look for it, right now, since I don't know if it is a
shared object it is looking for, or what, the doc's didn't seem to say that)

I am very used to full snmp engines, like HP Openview(hope'nView)
Spectrum, Zabbix, etc. Importing mibs into those are easy, but Cacti is
using the Net-snmp stack and can't find the mibs to query the agents
with, and the agents don't respond to the mibs either.

Please help,
Seann
