It looks to me like you got what you wanted. If you want to do this with C, have a look at [url]http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/TUT:Simple_Application[/url] . There's also interfaces for Perl and python, but I'm not sure where to find documentation or tutorials for those.
