Hi All

Can any one help me figure out why I&#821=
7;m get
permission denied in the following case.

Using version net-snmp-5.2.1.2-fc4.1 here
is what I have

Snmpd.conf

exec  active=5Fcalls /bin/bash /usr/=
src/results

when I walk the mib or snmpget I get back=

bin/bash: /usr/src/results: permission de=
nied

the script is

#!/bin/bash

declare -i RESULT=3D`cat /usr/src/active`=

printf %d $RESULT

exit $RESULT

I have chmod 777 the file and the directo=
ry
but still no luck.

I have tried sh as well and I get the same
thing.

But if a do

exec active=5Fcalls /bin/echo “Hell=
o world”

It works

I think it’s a security issue but I=
’m not
sure. I’m using the version 5 community string type authentication. &=
nbsp;

Any help would be greatly appreciated nt>
