I just installed SMB on my linux server and was able to see the machine name
in my network neiborhood of a win2003 machine. However I cannot look inside
for shares.

Then, I did this:

# smbclient -L 192.168.0.3
protocol negotiation failed

192.168.0.3 is the server itself. I'm performing that command from within
the server.

In my /var/log/samba/smbd.log I see this:

[2005/02/02 01:04:32, 0] lib/util_sock.cpen_socket_in(708)
[2005/02/02 01:04:32, 0] smbd/oplock.c:init_oplocks(1308)
open_oplock_ipc: Failed to get local UDP socket for address 100007f. Error
was Cannot assign requested address

Can someone help me determine what the problem is? Thanks.
