The recommended patchset for Samba 3.0.4 can be
downloaded from

These patches have been tested by individual Samba developers
and the original bug reporters. All are fairly low risk
changes IMO.

Here's the details from the samba-3.0.4.patch file:

Unless you are experiencing these specific bugs, I wouldn't
bother patching 3.0.4 at all.
