I have recomplied a kernel to allow for acl and ea
I have compiled Samba for the same and made a rpm
I have my samba server in the domian and I can get ACL's from my windows
ypbind is bound to my NIS master running on the Windows 2003 ala SFU 3.0

I am using the smbadduser from a previous version since the one that is
shipping with 3.0 is not even close to a csh script. (looks like
someone is trying to get make to build it automajically)

I have smbadduser using ypcat to get the userid, but I still have to
type the passwords

When I try to add a user acl from the windows server it tries but I get
an error in the /var/log/messages

[2003/09/05 08:49:39, 0] smbd/posix_acls.c:create_canon_ace_lists(1380)

S-1-5-21-1830829670-2825656167-359615176-1115 to uid or gid.

Do I have to add the users localy to the Linux box? if so what is the
point of nis?
