tetex package - Slackware

This is a discussion on tetex package - Slackware ; does anyone know why slackware 12.0 does include a tetex package but latex2html misses? the documentations in /usr/share/texmf include about latex2html but the binary misses....

    Because it's not part of teTeX?

    If you want it, try google - only 230,000 hits.

    in the slackware 12.0 tetex package there is helpfile of latex2html, so i
    wondered why is the binary not therein.

    So what?
    /PATH_TO/teTeX/share/texmf-dist/doc/help/Catalogue/entries/latex2html.html
    is part of the original teTeX.
