Sorry for the non-english message of my previous post, i obviously posted in
the wrong newsgroup . Anyway, since the subject is related to Sinclairs,
the question i posted was: does anyone ever tried to make the ZXs read/write
softwares from/to a MP3 portable device (like IPOD and similar) instead of
an old tape deck? With the advantage to have a in-line data bank of software
browsable via the device display..
I'm about to try in some days with a Creative device, as soon as i receive
it

Yep, I've had good results doing that with an ipod. Usually I've done it
by playing back a WAV file, but a lot of people have found that MP3
works too (although you may have to increase the bitrate for speed-loaders).

A long time ago I coded a hack for iPodLinux that would let you play
..tzx files directly as just another audio format. It might take a lot of
work to revive that project though, as the iPodLinux people gradually
restructured everything and Apple made new ipods less and less hackable...
