  1. EightyOne Bugs - where to report them ?

    Hi,

I have Noticed a few bugs in the Debugger window Of EightyOne. When hardware
is set up as standard 16K ZX81 machine, The disassembly portion of the
    debugger has a few bugs,

    1) byte sequence FD 36 3B 40, disassembles as LD (IY+$40),$3B, It should of
    course be LD (IY+$3B),$40
    2) 2 byte operands are reversed. i.e the byte sequence in rom at $0002 01
    FF 7F LD BC,$7FFF is shown as $0002 01 7F FF LD BC,$7FFF
This may be by design to make it easier to read.

    Regards Andy.

Mike Wynne's Internet domain is chuntey.com, and you can mail him at
    mike@ that domain.

I've forwarded your message to him, in case he isn't reading the
    newsgroup.

    Eq.

Thanks, I'll make a mental note for future reference.

Unfortunately my message just bounced back: "host
chuntey.com[78.151.160.64] said: 550 Relay denied (in reply to RCPT TO
    command)".

Not sure why that would happen, so you could try sending it yourself in
    case you have better luck.

    Eq.

Thanks For trying, i have sent a mail myself, See what happens.

not usual for me to report bugs, i'm not usually that observant, but i am
using eightyone as a bench-mark for my own ZX81 emulator, it's still early
on, and i have only just started to debug my Z80 Core emulation. Very
tedious it is too, this will be the second time i've attempted this, i had a
workable but too slow version in VB, but have started over using Borland
turbo C this time, much quicker...But a more than a bit of learning for me.

I know i could have used some other Free (GPL / GNU ?? whats the difference
never did read all that stuff) Z80 core but to be honest i fancied the
    challenge of writting my own.

    Regards Andy

I think chuntey.com went black a while back... After a lot of
unfortunateness started to hit mike back early last year.

There is a new version available (details on the WoS forum). Now's
probably not the best time to contact Mike though.

It's not a matter for public discussion.
