  1. How to build a quad-core Spectrum???

Sinclair engineers have been pretty lazy during the last 20
years and it's time to bring the 1980s technology of the
    Speccy to the 21st century.

First, we need to create a quad-core Speccy to improve
power and speed. Later, we can discuss creating the
Super-ULA and finally have more colors than the C64.

In about a year, the Super-Spectrum would probably
outsell PCs, PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii!!!

    What do you think???

A massively parallel computer using Z80s has already been built, but
without any Spectrum games to run on it, it's of little value.

The thing is, once you connect a Spectrum to a mass storage device,
you don't really need any extra memory, and you're not going to get
much speed advantage from additional CPUs.

Probably the best bet is an FPGA version of the Z80 which you could
clock at around 35 MHz on a Xilinx Spartan II.

As for the ULA I'd suggest implementing the SAM Coupe's arrangement,
since there's already software written for it.

An indication that the poster is American.

So the anagram troll is an American. The clues were there.
He's pretty clued up on the Spectrum.

I'm not sure of the main anagram. Surely not "Robot Lunch Vomit"
and I only get part of "mean prie***".

Answering my own question "Victor Smootbank" = "Otto von Bismarck"
    (gleaned from another group)
