Can't see files over 2GB
I have an problem with a RAID disk. It is split into 2 equal logical
volumes:
1) /dev/dsk/dks116d1s7 /vol5 xfs rw,raw=/dev/rdsk/dks116d1s7 0 0
2) /dev/dsk/dks116d1l1s7 /vol6 xfs rw,raw=/dev/rdsk/dks116d1l1s7 0 0.
I can see all of the files on /vol5 from any client, Octane machine, RedHat
Linux, Windows 2000 with Samba though explorer. On /vol6 I can't see files
over 2GB. They don't show up at all in Windows 2000 with Samba through
explorer. It gives me an I/O error on my Octane or RedHat Linux system when
I do an ls.
Thanks

I'm not an expert, but I think there's a 2GB limit with NFS2.
Maybe one volume is shared through NFS3 and one with NFS2
Maybe this affects Samba in the same way.

You need at least samba 2.2 to manage properly big files.
