Perl 5.8.1 on irix 6.5.21 woes
I have a compilation problem for perl in the file
gv.c. This problem has been reported in a number
of venues, notably perl.perl5.porters with no resolution
listed. Is this related to the fact that sgi freeware
includes a rather dated version of perl?
Also, this same problem was reported about a year ago in
the same newsgroup with perl version 5.8.0
My error messages are essentially the same during compilation:
`sh cflags "optimize='-O3 -OPT:Olimit=0:space=ON'" gv.o` gv.c
CCCMD = cc -64 -DPERL_CORE -c -D_BSD_TYPES -D_BSD_TIME -woff 1184,1552 -I/opt/MIPSpro/74/usr/include -I/usr/local/include -O3 -OPT:Olimit=0:space=ON
