ULTRA SLOW LINUX [PHP HTTPD]
Hi,
We have a website that takes up to 30 seconds to display a light
HomePage. Ever had such a problem ?
The server is a Fedora Linux / Apache 2.0 with MySQL. Scripts written
in PHP.
We receive a very little traffic : more or less 2.500 people per day
visiting 1 or 2 pages.
We reviewed all LOGS + SQL scripts + Weight of pages. Our website may
be will always stay nothing due to lack of speed and we do not have
much
knowhow in web servers applied sciences.

Are you sure it is the server that cause the delay or is it the
browser/client that is slow?
I'm also running FC4, Apache 2, MySQL and PHP and it's faster that...
However, even a simple page is very slow to display on a slow client...

OK, let's start with the easy bits: *WHICH* Fedora Core Linux? There
have been 6 published.
Then, look at the web pages that are slow. Do flat text files there
appear much more quickly?
Then, if it's specific to those web pages, review the contents of the
web page. Add little debugging statements to publish timestamps as it
executes different stages.
