    dear gurus

i am new to slackware world, gui easy to work and command line take
sometime to get hand on experience.

i have download the source of clamav, but dont know how to install the
clamav and how to configiure it. can anyone tell me guidline

i try to read the documentation, but looks beyond understanding some
steps. it is asking to create a new user and new group and add there
    then install etc.

You kinda need to be a competent system administrator to build and
install source, which it looks like you have there. You need to
compile it first if that's the case. There's alot of Slackware package
sites, why not check them for a pre-built clamav package? There
probably is one. Search Google for 'slackware packages' and look for
some sites. Adding users falls under system administration. Look for
some books by searching for 'linux system administration'. Also check
out http://www.tldp.org. See 'man adduser' as well.
