Congress to Vote On Bills Authorizing and Expanding NSA Snooping

http://www.cdt.org/action/nsa/

Excerpt:
Congress is poised this week to vote on two partisan bills that would
radically expand the President's authority to conduct warrantless

Please read and respond to the many issues clearly and fairly described
here as your conscience allows. This is the Congressional "silly season"
when things are done for political reasons, and the consequences remain as
permanent law.

I have said it here truly before: I am not a political campaigner and this
is not a political group. This group is about security and that includes
privacy. CDT has documented and indexed and articulated these issues very
well and far better than I could in a usenet post. These are very
critical issues and they are "on the table" this week.

Please read, and then take the time to call your (US) Representatives and
Senators. This is important to do now. If you agree strongly, please
pass these links to other like-minded people.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for your interest.

You can find the contact information for the people you need to call,

Please do call them. They need to hear from us now. Thank you.
