    Install the updated wd driver & supporting utils.
    ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/dr...d/wdsupp/VOL.*

    Then it should work. I have several 506 boxes that have been burning cd's &
    dvd's with BackupEdge for 2 or 3 years.

    There is also an updated cdrecord in 507mp5 also. It's a sub-component of
    mp5 called cdrtools.
    Several other packages from mp5 install and run fine on 506 as long as other
    required library packages are also installed (rs506a, oss646c, and gwxlibs
    which is also in mp5).
    This installed and runs at least enough to display help, but I haven't tried
    to actually use cdrecord on that box since this install so it's not proven
    ok yet.
    It looks like all it needs (aside from the updated wd driver) is oss646c .

    # uname -a
    SCO_SV unixd 3.2 5.0.6 i386
    # cdrecord --version

    # whence cdrecord
    /usr/bin/cdrecord
    # ls -l /usr/bin/cdrecord
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root sys 44 May 26 00:00 /usr/bin/cdrecord ->
    /opt/K/SCO/cdrtools/2.1.1Cb/usr/bin/cdrecord
    # ldd /usr/bin/cdrecord
    /usr/bin/cdrecord needs:
    /usr/lib/libsocket.so.2
    libnsl.so => /usr/lib/libnsl.so
    /usr/lib/libc.so.1

    This is an old version of cdrecord.
    A recent can be found here:
