    Hello everyone,

I hope somebody can help me on this issue.

I applied MP5 to an Open Server 507 to be ready for the new DST changes, now
I have a bigger problem. The Kernel failed linking with the following
    errors.

    idbuild: idmkunix had errors.
    System build failed.

I checked in this newsgroup that this could be related to TuneUp6.0 which I
    have installed in the server.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Nestor.

I had the same problem with TuneUP ever since MP4

It's a known issue with tuneup, and tuneup knows about it since way back
    when mp4 first came out.
One time a guy from tuneup told me on they were working on it, but this was
at least a year maybe 2 ago.

The only answer to date is either remove tuneup or revert to MP3.
I wouldn't hold my breath for an update from tuneup.

Which for me, is always "revert to mp3" because I have decided for myself,
though I cannot supply enough documentation to push this as advice on anyone
else, that MP4 was plain bad and reverted it everywhere anyways.
I had several boxes that were fine on mp1-mp3 for a long time, then go bad
not long after putting on mp4, and then were fine again after reverting to
mp3 (if that was still possible, in some cases the box got too corrupt while
on mp4 and I had to reinstall or restore from tape) I can only hope that mp5
fixes whatever was wrong with mp4 but I may never find out since I'm not
shipping any new sco boxes anymore and my existing 5.0.7 boxes are running
ok on mp3 for years by now so there is little justification for applying a
big new question mark to them.

I'm sorry about your issue to hear what happened to you, I was going to do
the same thing this weekend, but I guess you saved my ass on your behalf. I
guess I need linux upgrade from OSR 507 running mp3 and tuneup :-S
