SCO 505 box, undermaintained.

Scoadmin printers yields the following error:
Unable to get complete data for 'Printer Manager on hostname'
Failed to retrieve list of remote printers.
General failure occurred in processing attribute remotePrinterHost
Cannot find an entry for printer 'lp' in /etc/printcap.

and syslog has a similar Tcl error.

which are two printers setup as, I believe, remote LPD/LPR printing.

Netcat for this machine is on my to-do list.

Can anyone figure out what this error message means? I'm assuming
'rp=lp' means to find queue lp on the printer, which vaguely sounds
familiar from when I set it up, seven years ago.

(One other oddity: scoadmin is not displaying the information in the
Description field that I input. It exists in the file
/var/spool/lp/admins/lp/printers/printer-name, which I thought would be
where scoadmin gets it from. Eh?)
