This is a discussion on Samba 3.0.29 - Samba ; I have upgraded one of our machines from 3.0.24 to 3.0.29 and there are somestrange entries in the logs (even though everything works correctly).     I have upgraded one of our machines from 3.0.24 to 3.0.29 and there are somestrange entries in the logs (even though everything works correctly).

    Did you update libnss_winbind as well ?

    Figure out why "getent passwd DOSIM000+WS10011875$" is failing.
    This is a small test case that should get to the root of the issue.

    Well since I am on AIX, I upgraded the WINBIND LAM module in /usr/lib/
    security.
    I think that's all what I could do...
    I am also using Bill's pware53 package so perhaps I can forward this
    question to him.
