There are usually some registry changes required for an XP
to connect to a Samba server. I use this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Netlogon\Parameters
requiresignorseal = REG_DWORD 0x00000000
signsecurechannel = REG_DWORD 0x00000000
