PROBLEM with NEW Linksys Wireless G in NON wireless set up...
I just got a NEW Linksys wireless G 2.4, am using it with wireless OFF.
Sometimes I cannot access it by typing 192.168.1.1 without unplugging it and
doing a reboot of the router.
As I am downloading with azureus after a fresh router reboot, I can get web
pages no
problem, but after awhile it stops connecting to the net AND I cannot get
into the router by 192.168..... until I reboot it. BUT azureus is still
downloading.
I had a older Linksys router until last week and never had any connection
issues even while downloading at 400kb/sec!!
Now even if azureus is downloading at 75kb/sec, I sometimes cannot get into
the router or get a page!!
Is it possible that my router is defective?
I have not needed to reboot the computer or the modem only the router to get
web access!

Re: PROBLEM with NEW Linksys Wireless G in NON wireless set up...
clarification... NON wireless set up, (it is disabled)
sometimes when it is acting weird...
If I try 192.168.1.1, it opens the router page BUT with errors, so most of
the info is not displayed and you cannot access or change any router info.
Sometimes it just tries to connect as if it's a web page, never finding the
192.168.1.1 router UNTIL the router gets rebooted, then it works right away.
It is brand new, so either it is defective or set up wrong. input please!
the KEEP ALIVE tab is checked in setup, if it matters...
ALSO, when I installed the software for the router, it actually made the
connection not work, so I hit "back" and cancelled the installation of the
Linksys software..... could it be related? What does the software actually
do?
THANKS

Re:UPDATE#2 with NEW Linksys Wireless G in NON wireless set up...
another update...
instead of unplugging it this time I just hit the reset button on the back
and it fixed the problem.
I had the 192.168.1.1 page open displaying the status and again, once it
started to not display pages, I tried to refresh the router page and it
wouldn't respond until I reset it.
Router is acting weird, any explanations?
