  1. Where is install log written to during Fedora 8 installation?

    I've attempted to upgrade from Fedora 7 to 8 twice so far, and twice it
    has hung in the same spot, when reading which packages are to be upgraded.
    I let it go for several hours the first time, and it just remained hung.
    When you begin the installation, there's a brief message about a log file
    being created. This message is flashed for only a split second, so I
    cannot read where the log file is output. Is the log file output to the
    existing hard drive of the existing FC7 installation? Or is it written to
    the RAM disk created during the installation? If the latter is true, then
    it will be useless to me, since the computer is completely hung at that
    point.
