Hi all,
I have an IBM laptop which i quiet successfully ran Fedora Core 1 on however

The system automatically found the cards ( 3com megahertz, and compaq
wireless cards) and installed drivers but i get no indication that they
actually working IE they dont seem to work
i useto get 2 beeps when FD core 1 booted up to say hey your PCMCIA is
working but i cant seem to get that with FD core 2 any help would be so much

Re: PCMCIA issues with FC2??
Found a temp fix
Rick Johnson e-mailed to state that a couple more FC2 test1 issues niggle
users: PCMCIA slots don't work unless people manually load yenta_socket, and
then restart pcmcia (modprobe yenta_socket and then service pcmcia restart -
this works till the next reboot); and for laptop users, there's an error
with the clock-speed during start-up - fixes for this are in the archives of
fedora-test-list.
Is there any way to make this more permanent???????
thanks
