We are experiencing a kernel panic when running a java application.
The java app will run for some number of days and then at some
seemingly random moment we get a kernel panic. I am looking for clues
to understand how to proceed.

java version Sun jsk 1.4.2.04
Linux distro : Redhat WS 3.0 with upgraded kernel
