For some reason, in a FC5/x86_64 setup gnome-power-manager never got
installed (because of which the display power saver goes on with the
very quick setting I've set in xorg.conf mainly for the login screen),
but when I installed it, I get the following pop-up when logging in:

Power Manager
This program cannot start until you start the dbus session service.
This is usually started automatically in X or gnome startup when you
start a new session.

What's missing, and how to correct? At least messagebus is running.
