Well, I upgraded to FC2 yesterday, and neglected to do any research on it
before I did so. Now my soundcard doesn't work. I first tried
`sndconfig`, as it's always worked in the past. It tells me:

    > You don't seem to be running a kernel with modular sound enabled.
    > (soundcore.o was not found in the module search path). To use sndconfig,

Silly me, I thought that kernel-2.6.5-1.358 would count as "or greater". So
I tried `system-config-soundcard`. All it says is

    > No soundcards were detected.

At this point, I'm a bit stumped. Can anyone help me? My computer is a bit
old, I'll admit (it's a Compaq Presario 5280; I'm too poor to buy anything
new), but I didn't think it was legacy yet. Sound worked from Mandrake 6.1
in 1999 up through FC1 (until yesterday) with sndconfig. Although I'm not
sure, the specs I found online said:

    > Compaq Audio: ........................ Yamaha XG 128 Voice Wavetable Sound
    > Aureal A3DInteractive 360o Positional Sound
    > Spatializer Sound
    > FM Synthesis

    That's because it's "soundcore.ko", not "soundcore.o", in 2.6 kernels.

Silly you. It is "or greater". Now fix taht script you are using to
    work with it.
