    Install xmms music player, Install xmms-mp3 addin.

    0) From start meny, select "Run Command" and run 'xterm' or 'konsole'.

    1) At command line execute these lines

    Become a root user
    $ su root

    Install apt-get for RedHat 9.
    # rpm -Uvh
    http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrp...6-fr1.i386.rpm

    Update package index
    $ apt-get update

    Install xmms
    # apt-get install xmms
    # apt-get install xmms-mp3
    # apt-get install xmms-skins

    Install mplayer
    # apt-get install mplayer
    # apt-get install mplayer-skins
    # apt-get install w32codec
    # apt-get install mplayer-fonts
    # apt-get install transcode

    Run gmplayer
    $ gmplayer

    Alternatively use 'xine' video player.


    3) Synaptic is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) for APT
    http://www.nongnu.org/synaptic/

    # apt-get install synaptic

    Run and use it
    $ synaptic


    Install also http://www.k3b.org/


    // moma
    http://www.futuredesktop.org

    go to http://www.gurulabs.com download section and download the mp3-addon
    for RH9.
