Can anyone on the face of planet earth get a VPN going from fedora core
5 to a windows 2000 vpn server? I cannot get it working, this is a 30
minute old install... this is the first thing I tried to do.

I can get the connection to start trying... but I don't see any
responses from the server. I am behind a cable router, so I have a
private non-routable IP. It works in windows though... no problems.

    Copy of tcpdump:
    tcpdump -i ath0
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol
    decode
listening on ath0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes

  2. Re: MPPE vpn to windows server

    I followed the instructions at
    http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/ho...a-core-5.phtml and was
able to connect from FC5 to a Win2000 hosted VPN.
