This is a discussion on installing grub - Redhat ; i tried to make windows xp the default load option rather than fedora 3,
next time i booted grub died, so i put in the windows xp cd and formated the
mbr and wrote a new boot sector. anyone know ...

i tried to make windows xp the default load option rather than fedora 3,
next time i booted grub died, so i put in the windows xp cd and formated the
mbr and wrote a new boot sector. anyone know how i get back into fc3 and
reinstall grub ??

This has been asked and answered many many times...... remember google is
your friend, for example;

Boot with the FC3 installation media, at the menu screen type in 'linux
rescue' without the quotes. Answer a few questions and read the on screen
messages. Do the 'chroot' command and when ready type something like;
/sbin/grub-install --recheck /dev/hda [or /dev/hda1]
Hints; the counting starts at zero (0) and the titles are used for the
counting.
If you still have a problem post your /boot/grub/grub.conf file and any
other relevant information.
