Hi,
I recently upgraded from FC4 to FC5, and everything went smoothly,
except now in alsamixer there are only two volume controls,
"headphones" and "pcm", whereas before there were several - pcm, front,
surround, headphones, etc. Currently, the control labeled "headphones"
behaves as a master volume control.
Also, before the upgrade I could plug headphones into the front
headphone jack and the external speakers would automatically be muted.
this is no longer the case.
the files
/etc/alsa/alsa.conf
/etc/alsa/ainit.conf
/etc/alsa/cards/HDA-Intel.conf
did not change during the upgrade. What could be causing this? Any
help appreciated.
