newbe here... thanks in advance for any help...

installed redhat 9 on a machine to use as a gateway for a small home
lan... read the manual but am confused as to how to set up ip tables to
allow traffic through the linux box for a couple of windows boxes

have rp-pppoe installed and used lokkit to configure firewall but no
traffic goes in and out the the internet and windows boxes do not get mail

eth0 is the nic connected to the internal lan and eth1 is connected to
the dsl modem...

if i understand the manual i need to add two lines like:

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

and

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -j

am i even close here... or more confused then i thought
