I use "ipconfig /dnsflush" sometimes to test the speed of IPv4
resolutions. This unfortunately flushed the fixed entries coming
from my hosts file; I have 8000 fixed entries !

Hence the next getXbyY function takes approx 4 sec to finish.
Most time is spent reloading my hosts file I assume. So is there
a way to flush only the dynamic host entries?

BTW. For IPv6 names/addresses, do I use
%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts6 or the normal
hosts file?
