    I get this error when compiling proftpd with mod_deflate
    can anybody help

    The above error makes it look like you placed the mod_deflate.c module in
    the following location:

    proftpd-1.3.2rc1/contrib/mod_deflate/mod_deflate.c

    However, as per the instructions on castaglia.org, the mod_deflate.c file
    needs to be in:

    proftpd-1.3.2rc1/contrib/mod_deflate.c

    You will need to do a 'make clean', and re-run configure, with the
    mod_deflate.c file in the correct location.
