Thread: [Proftpd-user] Problems compiling v1.3.1 with mod_ldap on Solaris 8

  1. [Proftpd-user] Problems compiling v1.3.1 with mod_ldap on Solaris 8

    Hello.

I need to compile ProFTPD v1.3.1 on an old Solaris 8 server. And I am
having some problems getting it to compile with support for the mod_ldap
    module.

Here's the output from the configure + make steps, with error message at
    the end.
It's probably me doing something stupid somewhere, but I can't really see
what that should be right now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    bash-2.03# install_user=ftp install_group=ftp ./configure
    -prefix=/opt/proftpd-1.3.1
    --with-modules=mod_ldap:mod_quotatab:mod_quotatab_file:mo d_quotatab_ldap

If I remove the "--with-modules=..." part it compiles fine. But I do need
LDAP support, and quotas. And from what I understand I also need
mod_quotatab_file to be able to use a tallytab-file.

I have the same problem on Solaris10! Did you manage to find out what is going wrong?
