Hi Guys,

I am observing strange behavior of proftpd when the system is on 1
Giga network. The download speed (4 MB) are very low compared to upload
speeds (30 MB). However the speeds are consistent on 100 Mbps. This
problem is being observed when both server and client are on Windows. I
have used Windows FTP Client and File zilla client for the above test
cases and found the pattern is similar. Please find my observed
statistics with different server-client configurations:

=20

Windows Server and Windows Client:

Upload speed: 30 MB/Sec

Download Speed: 4 MB/Sec=20

Windows Server and Linux Client:

Upload speed: 35 MB/Sec

Download Speed: 14 MB/Sec

Linux Server and Windows Client:

Upload speed: 35 MB/Sec

Download Speed: 14 MB/Sec

Please do suggest me on this.

Thanks and Regards,

BSR
