Good evening folks.

I just built a new copy of proftpd for a replacement ftp server. I need
to manage this via my tech support flks so I am configuring with
mod_conf_sql. The build went fine, no errors.

Building on FreeBSD 6.1 Running over Sparc 64.

I configured as so,

install_user=nobody install_group=nogroup ./configure
--with-modules=mod_conf_sql:mod_quotatab:mod_quotatab_sql :mod_sql:mod_sql_mysql:mod_rewrite:mod_ifsession:m od_load:mod_wrap
--with-libraries=/usr/local/lib/mysql
--with-includes=/usr/local/include/mysql

When I go to start up I get this failure and a core dump.

bash-2.05b# proftpd -c
sql://xxxxx:xxxxx@localhost/dbroftpd/ctxt:ftpctxt/conf:ftpconf/map:ftpmap
- mod_conf_sql/0.7.1: unable to find SQL hook symbol 'sql_load_backend'
- mod_conf_sql/0.7.1: unable to find SQL hook symbol 'sql_prepare'
- mod_conf_sql/0.7.1: unable to find SQL hook symbol 'sql_define_conn'
- mod_conf_sql/0.7.1: unable to find SQL hook symbol 'sql_open_conn'
- mod_conf_sql/0.7.1: unable to find SQL hook symbol 'sql_select'

Looking at the src code it looks like proftp is expecting something
either in a config or in the SQL. I don't write C though so I'm not
sure. I don't see in the SQL log where proftpd tried to query though.

I've been following the docs and instructions at
http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/mod..._conf_sql.html
http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/modules/mod_sql.html

Still kicking it around, any clue where I might go next? Yahoo search
turned up nothing with that error.

Three years now I've asked Google why they don't have a
logo change for Memorial Day. Why do they choose to do logos
for other non-international holidays, but nothing for
Veterans?

Maybe they forgot who made that choice possible.
