    Here the CCP protocol is rejected (because of noccp) in response to a
    request for STAC CCP. That _shouldn't_ cause the link to be terminated.
    It means any other request for CCP would be useless, including MS-CCP
    (see below).

    STAC CCP is specifically rejected. It's not supported by pppd due to
    it's licensing requirement.

    Here pppd rejects MS CCP, which is patented and so not supported.
    Only the encryption part is supported to some extent. It's almost
    always the case that the remote will eventually terminate LCP
    negotiation when a request for MS-CCP is rejected.

    My *guess* is that the P900 PPP implementation requires using some sort
    of CCP, but that's not possible since it and pppd have no CCP algorithm
    in common.
