Hello 9fans,

I have started playing with fossil+venti, following the instructions on
the wiki, and everything seems to work as it is supposed to, except for
the temporary snapshots; they won't get discarded.

If I run snaptime after I have connected to the fossil console, I get
that:
main: snaptime
snaptime -a 0400 -s 60 -t 180
(which seems to match with how I want it to be configured).

However, if I mount the snapshot tree with
'mount /srv/fossildata /n/snapshots main/snapshot'
I can see snapshots dating from as far as the 23rd (which is the date
when I started playing with that):

d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 24 04:35 0723
d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 24 23:00 0724
d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 25 23:00 0725
d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 26 23:00 0726
d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 27 23:00 0727
d-r-xr-xr-x M 7004 adm adm 0 Jul 28 11:00 0728

I had understood that with -t 180, snapshots older than 3 hours would
be automatically discarded, isn't that correct? And if yes, what am I
doing wrong then?

I have also tried to run 'snapclean' in the fossil console but that
didn't seem to have any effect.

For the record, this is a second fossil (which is serving a disk with
only some non-system data on it) I am running on this machine (hence the
/srv/fossildata), because I'm doing some testing and I don't want to mess
with the one serving the system. The first fossil, with the system on it,
is not configured with venti at the moment.

Cheers,
Mathieu
