[9fans] fossil repair?
this is my first real fossil+venti install. i used a cd from an iso image dated 4/15/2007,
then did a pull (12/6) and rebuilt 9pccpuf. i'm seeing this on startup:
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
cacheLocalData: addr=252 type got 0 exp 8: tag got 9e1bc69 exp 5fdd9cf6
fsSnapshot: block label mismatch
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
and this (it seems) at archive time:
could not write super block; waiting 10 seconds
blistAlloc: called on clean block
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
cacheLocalData: addr=253 type got 8 exp 0: tag got 6fc0e4fc exp 71875e60
cacheLocalData: addr=252 type got 0 exp 8: tag got 9e1bc69 exp 5fdd9cf6
fsSnapshot: block label mismatch
fossil continues to operate.
i've not seen any venti scores printed. fossil/last gives me a vac score.

Your disk is corrupt. As usual, I suspect hardware.

Geoff helped me repair it last night. i think i screwed things
up by going back and forth between two install cd's made 6 months
apart. check fix did the repair. also i had assumed that the default install
for fossil+venti would configure fossil to know where to find venti, but
i shouldn't have. Working well now.

Perhaps the installer might offer to tar the newly-installed
file system into /dev/null to turn up this kind of thing?
