PGP 8.03 Signing Problem

Hello.
I just ran into a new problem with PGP 8.03 when signing email in Outlook
Express 6 automatically.
When I click the send button after an email is written, the signing process
fails most of the time. When it
does fail, sometimes it adds a lower case "a" to the end of the line where
the cursor is. Other times when
it fails it wipes out the message completely, replacing it by a lower case
"c". The failure message indicates
that PGP could not sign the current window or the window did not retain it's
focus.
About 10% of the time the signing process works fine and the email is sent.
The signing process also works
fine all the time if I use a hotkey sequence instead of signing
automatically.
I bought a new computer which is a 2.8Ghz, 800Mhz Front Side Bus computer
with 1 gigabyte of RAM.
I have always had PGP set to sign email automatically. On my old 533Mhz
computer it worked flawlessly for
years - same version of PGP, same PGP keys and same version of Outlook
Express.
Could this be a video driver problem?
Thanks for any help or opinions.
Howard

I've had this problem across several different graphics cards. It's a royal
pain to reproduce and percentagewise very few have it. I was in contact
with a support manager about it a long time ago and at that time they had
no other reported occurances. Nor could they reproduce it and thus not fix
it.
I've since switched to Thunderbird so it's not an issue anymore on my part,
but personally I found that moving the mouse around like nuts while the
plugin was processing upped the success ratio to near 100% compared to 10%
if mouse was stationary. Go figure.
