  1. TomTom on Chips Review?

Has anyone tried out the TomTom 5 Navigator software and GPS unit for
    the Treo 650?

I have been considering something like this for awhile.

Apparently, loading the version from a CD was problematic. Does the
version on memory chip resolve any difficulties? Does it work well or
poorly? Any thoughts about the software?

Buy yourself a nice set of maps. You'll be far $ahead$.

I use TomTom5 Navigator and the Palm GPS unit with my Treo 650. It works
very well. Never had a problem with it. The only thing that I don't like
about the TomTom software is that the US is divided into regions and if you
cross one region and go to another region (or you go from Canada to the US
or vice versa), you have to change the region map. The region map does not
automatically load even if you have it installed on your Treo 650 (the SD
    memory card).

The poor guy didn't ask for your personal opinion. He asked "a" and you
responded "b". Ceterum censeo such responses esse delendam.

For me, on my TX, the TomTom stuff works perfectly, from the CD. Never heard
of any "loading from the CD" problem.

Agreed. My apologies to all for the glib response.

Just in case you are not aware, TomTom 6 has been released with what
sounds like new maps. Would be worth getting rather than TomTom 5.
