  1. problem: scsi C: and new ide F:

    I have a scsi c: drive (boot drive w/os2) and I installed a new
IDE drive as f:, but as soon as I format the new drive and reboot, even if
its formatted as JFS, OS2 will hang at boot with "press a key to reboot".
It seems like OS2 tries to continue booting off f: after danis506 (or
ibm1s506) loads.. How can I make it work proper?
    thanks,
    - dink

I think the drive letters changed. Please move the the SCSI drivers
    BEFORE
IDE drivers (??? and check in the BIOS if you can set somewhere
    "SCSI before IDE")

I've never seen this message from OS/2. I have seen it from a BIOS when
it was presented with a disk containing no active primary partition.

I think you will find this depends on how your BIOS is treating the
drive types. If your BIOS does not allow EXPLICIT control of the
ordering between IDE and SCSI drives, then you need to REMOVE all IDE
HD entries in the BIOS and let OS/2 find the IDE during the boot
process AFTER it has found and assigned drive letters for the SCSI first.

It may also help to move the SCSI driver in CONFIG.SYS before the IDE
    driver.

    Good luck............pk.
